Mac Macs

{ Makes 24 to 30 Cookies }

Note that the nuts are not germinated in this recipe!

I have given you two types of “macs” to choose from. Some people love chocolate and some don’t, believe it or not, I, for one, am not a chocolate person, but my friends are! I’d rather have them eat a raw healthy chocolate than a chocolate I know for sure is not good for them. So we have chocolate macs and fabulous non-chocolate Mac-Macs. Bravo, Christine. (She created both; I just love my sister!)

By the way, the toughest part of this recipe is walking away from the dehydrator for the 30 hours it takes to dehydrate the macaroons. You’ll want to eat them before they’re done. But restrain yourself; they are best when they finish their time in the dehydrator!

  • 1 cup dried raw coconut flakes
  • 1 cup raw macadamia nuts, chopped
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • ¼ cup raw agave nectar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  1. Mix the ingredients with your hands, or a spoon, in a large bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on Teflex-lined dehydrator trays.
  3. Flatten the balls with your hand or with a fork.
  4. Dehydrate the cookies at 115°F for approximately 12 hours or until at the desired gooeyness.

Warm Regards,

Carol
