Carol’s Fan – Nicole from Australia

Nicole – tell us about yourself?

I live in Australia with my husband of 12 year Leigh and the world’s 2 most adorable cats Celine & Paris. My career from the age of 16 was in human resources/payroll management for our countries 2 leading department stores, then several other well known companies. Several years ago due to health reasons, I had to finish that career and I ended up starting an online business on ebay selling photographs, memorabilia, books and all things related to the entertainment industry. I also love collecting autographs of my favourite celebrities and have been interested in this since I was 10 years old! At present we are trying to start a family.

When did you 1st hear about Carol?

I first saw Carol modelling in a magazine when I was about 10 years old. My mother raised me on fashion and entertainment magazines and we spent a lot of time going through them together and picking our favourite models. Carol became our favourite and we always enjoyed seeing her appear in new photo shoots. After a while I would solely buy a magazine just because Carol was in it or was on the cover. I remember her being the face of cover girl in my early teens and that was all it took to convince me to try cover girl cosmetics! I kept every article and picture of Carol I could find in a scrapbook from the early 80’s to the mid 90’s when unfortunately it got destroyed due to water damage. I wish I still had it today.

What was it about Carol that first caught your attention?

Her lovely long hair and stunning eyes, as a child, besides my mother I though Carol was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen!

Has Carol inspired you in any way?

Yes, it was inspiring to see Carol appear in playboy, getting older you always get a little concerned about what the future will hold and what you can or cannot do. Seeing Carol appear in Playboy at 47 years of age and look better than a typical 20 year old playmate, showed me not to worry about ageing. I like the fact she was brave enough to do it and show everyone how gorgeous and sexy a woman of 47 can be. I also found Carol’s commitment to her charity and the work she did to raise money for it on the apprentice very inspiring. Watching a show
like Celebrity apprentice you get to see someone’s true personality and Carol showed everyone what a lovely and classy woman she is.

Carol was my favourite model then transitioned into becoming someone I enjoyed seeing in film. I really enjoyed her work in things like Bride of violence, Beyond Justice, Criminal past & Deadly game. Unlike some other models who tried their hand at acting, Carol’s beauty was just as evident in motion picture as it was in photographs and I thought she was a very good actress. If Carol was to ever come to Australia, I would love to get the opportunity to meet this lady I have admired since I was a child. It would be a dream come true.
