I just returned from Sundance Film Festival. I was at the premiere of About Face. This documentary is subtitled “The Supermodels; Then and Now” and is directed by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.
About Face is a documentary of a shoot of a cover of the magazine. But the cover never made it to the cover of the magazine – it was bumped due to Tiger Woods when he was cheating on his wife. It was with all top models throughout the years.
In addition to the candid interviews, shot with Greenfield-Sanders’ customary elegance, the film digs up to-die-for archive material from designer shows and fashion shoots, some going back to the dawn of advertising.
This is a very detailed look of the modeling industry throughout the eyes of major players.
