Fashion Week – New York

This Fashion Week (FWNY) was so busy for me! On the one hand I am happy to be so busy during FWNY after this many years in the business; on the other hand it is stressful.
So this time around I decided to be much more relaxed. If I make a show I make it if I am late, I am late and if I want to do an interview I will do it because I want to not because I am forced to. And yes, being forced into interviews is a common occurrence-not just for me but for many people who go to FWNY.

So not only did I decide to take a more relaxed mind into fashion week, I took a more relaxed fashion sense! I wore nothing but stretch pants and funky accessories. I did not borrow clothes; I did not wear the designers clothes to their shows. I did this because usually the February shows are showing the fall fashions for next fall. But the designers send the Sept shows fashions- which are coming out in the Spring- to the models and celebs who attend the shows. The problem with this is that it is COLD! I mean, I freeze. I cannot wear Spring Fashion in dead of winter.

I ran into Petra Nemcova and she told me she was freezing in her outfit because she was wearing the designer’s spring line and it was 17 degrees F out.
I felt for her. She looked beautiful but yes, I could see why she may be cold!

Well, anyway, I went to Luca Luca show- here I am in the front row!

And then I went to Nicole Miller- and again, here I am in the front row.

Here I am at Lincoln Center being interviewed-
I an not sure if this was the photos taken for the beautiful Stranger interview- which I am also running on this website- or not. I did so many interviews on the first day of FWNY that it was literally a blur.

I also walked in the Adrienne Vittadini show! Yes, you heard me- This girl worked and even got paid this fashion week! Here is a behind the scenes from my fitting- it was on a Sunday so no day Is sacred during fashion week as this entire group worked on a Sunday.

Here I am backstage getting hair makeup and nails done all at once!!

The last day of the shows I went to see Joanna Mastriann’s show. It was fantastic as usual. I am so happy seeing Joanna do her thing! She is amazing and her clothes are so sexy and feminine.
Here I am with fashion Icon Iris!!! I tweeted about her also because she is just so FAB!
I love the glasses and her outfit was simply D-VINE! (As we say in the fashion biz!)

Unfortunately, I was not able to see my Ole friend Dennis Basso’s show! I love his work also! I had meetings galore in-between shows—meeting for my Skin Care line, Raw Essentials!
Raw Essentials is HOT! And getting hotter! The demand is such that I am practically working all the time for the line! TV shows, meetings, launchings- U.S, Canada, Italy Switzerland, and now Russia is calling—Hello? Kak De La, Russia?
Well, That is it for fashion week. All that is left is to pay the bills for cars, meals, and clothes bought for interviews! Not so bad this time around because well, like I said, it is better to go relaxed! And maybe, just maybe, age has mellowed me a bit?
Until next time….

Health and happiness to you,
CA
